A supernatural comedy series.
A ghost tour company in a New England ocean-side town, staffed by poor millennial actors, discovers the town’s pirate ghost legend may actually be true – and there may be buried treasure in it for them.
The tone of the show is quirky and fanciful. It’s an offbeat workplace comedy full of subversive humor and frilly costumes. Think WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS meets SILICON VALLEY. It is a genre blend of supernatural horror and silly comedy, inspired by cinematic classics such as GHOSTBUSTERS and THE GOONIES. GHOST TOURS aims to combine episodic and serialized storytelling with an open style to include dreams, flashbacks, and absurd tangents.
The cast is diverse, comprising multiple ethnicities, religious backgrounds, sexual preferences and age groups. The myriad ways these sub-communities relate – from interracial marriage to job peers – is a model for a modern American fictional small town.
